Just a Fraction of the News that's Fit to Print

So much is brewing I thought it only appropriate to post this update front and center!

The Curvy Counselor

I've been busy developing a web presence for The Curvy Counselor, my fashion alter-ego. You can learn more about the project right here. You can also check out The Curvy Counselor directly. See you there!

Do yourself a favor. If you've got real curves (and at least 62% of women reading this do) don't settle for fashion and style commentary that treats you as a second class citizen. Don't settle for style advice that pretends to understand your frustration with shopping. Stop by The Curvy Counselor. I've put fifteen years worth of fashion industry experience into creating this resource. From working in fashion marketing and PR, to designing and manufacturing an award-winning clothing line, to writing a fashion and style column for an online division of The New York Times, I know how to get the most out of fashion. And you will too.

Women's Issues

Earlier this year I developed a website on Women's Issues for the folks at About.com. I'm thrilled to report that license to use all my About.com work has recently reverted to me and I am looking for a good web home for these writings. Since all issues are women's issues, the project is broad. Think of it as coverage and analysis of news and events that affect women most.

I'll let you know as soon these women's issues writings have a good home!

Trap Him, Feed Him, Keep Him: A Girlfriend's Guide to Happily Ever After

...is generating buzz... again.

You may remember this quirky little project. It all started in May of 2006 with some snarky, preachy, girlfriendy advice to the lovelorn from two verrry different perspectives and it's grown into an emerging brand. It was Helen Gurly Brown v. Laura Petrie from day one. Now you know I'm never going to be Laura Petrie but I can manage a Helen Gurly Brown imitation without breaking a sweat. And Whitney Dineen is so perfectly provincial (at least on paper). She's the perfect throwback to 1960s family sitcom values. If you recognize her name it may be because in real life Whitney is Hollywood's leading cookie-lady, making sinfully fabulous treats for some of the biggest names in Tinseltown. She's also seriously funny and an extremely talented writer with a big Mary Tyler Moore streak. Lucky for me we met working on the now-defunct Amaze Magazine. Proof that good things can come from anywhere!

Much More to Come

Beyond these projects, I've been busy writing, researching and developing another dozen websites and loving every minute! Much like writing a book that sells well, the best thing about writing online is that it's extraordinarily effective for leveraging your time. Unless you blog. So I only blog sometimes (just can't help it!). Who says knowing a little bit about a lot of things is a bad thing?

If you've been thinking about taking YOUR career online and would like a little insight, I'd be happy to offer some guidance. So follow the contact tab above and you'll find me.

That's all folks!
